Building operations are categorized as any construction, erection or structure placed in, on, over or under any land. To do this requires Final Planning Permission from the Physical Planning and Development Authority.
Building operations applies to most of the Building Use Categories (A, B, C, D and E)
Building operations also extends to the following:
- moveable structures such as container homes/offices, chattel etc.
- additions or extensions to buildings
- change of use
- any erection or structure permanently or temporarily attached to the sea bed
Regardless of whether something is temporary or permanent, Planning permission is still required
