The Physical Planning Building Code (Draft) (PDF, 3.21 MB) provides the Physical Planning Authorities with the tools needed for examination of development proposals to ensure that all developments are in concert with the physical, social and economic environment of the OECS. The requirements of the Building Code govern the construction of all buildings where as the Building Guidelines are to be used for the design and construction of simple buildings such as private dwellings and small retail shops of less than 3,000 square feet in gross area.
Designers and constructors of buildings outside the scope of the Guidelines must consult the Building Code for the relevant design and construction requirements.
